The Forestry Scholarship Association is again partnering with the Foresters’ Ball to host Community Forestry Day. We are pleased to invite your organization to participate in this year's event.
Community Forestry Day
Community Forestry Day provides an opportunity for various and diverse organizations to engage families and children in fun, experiential learning about the natural environment and our human interaction with that environment. The target audience for Community Forestry Day is Missoula-area families with school-aged children. Presenters are encouraged to make their presentations as hands-on and interactive as possible. The primary goal of this event is to get young people excited and interested in the natural world.
Last year’s Community Forestry Day was a great success, hosting over 400 attendees interacting with 12 presenters. We are excited by the opportunity to continue to grow this event and share the wonder of the natural world with children.
Community Forestry Day will be held inside the Foresters’ Ball in Schreiber Gym on the Saturday of Foresters' Ball weekend from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Presenters may begin set-up at 9:00 a.m. Booth space is free of charge.
Request for Insurance Certificates
The University of Montana is requesting that any outside vendors or commercial business owners participating in Community Forestry Day provide a certificate of insurance with general liability coverage. This certificate should name the University of Montana as additional insured for the dates of the event your organization is participating in. Typically, this can be done through a phone call to your organization’s insurance agent. This requirement does not apply to state or federal entities.
To register for a booth at Community Forestry Day, please complete and submit the Presenter Registration Form.
